Although this year’s Easter celebration has been greatly altered for most of us, you don’t have to skimp on your Easter breakfast and brunch celebration. Since we are not trying to serve a brunch around attending early morning services this year, we decided to have some fun and go all out for brunch! Whether you are making a fancy spread for Easter or keeping things simple, we have a few suggestions of how you can make this Easter extra sweet.
All special breakfasts and a brunches start with the right cocktail. May we suggest a few from our Blind Pig repertoire? If you would like to go the mocktail route, you can have the very delicious Orange Basil Spritzer or the Blackberry Kiwi Cocktail. If you want something with a little more punch, try the Savannah Special or the Cucumber Gin Spritz.
For the main fare you might like Kerrygold French Toast, Zaya Banana Bread, or Christmas Morning Bread. (We know it has the word Christmas in the title, but we promise it is great for any breakfast or brunch celebration!) Don’t have the exact alcohol ingredients on hand for these recipes? No problem. You can substitute any rum in the banana bread and any Irish cream in the french toast. Pair these suggestions with your favorite eggs or frittata (our favorite recipe is linked), some fresh fruit, and relax and enjoy your Easter.
What are your plans for Easter morning? Happy Easter everyone! Stay safe and healthy.
